Directions of updated strategy of spatial development of the russian federation

Abstract

Importance: the state «Strategy for the spatial development of the Russian Federation for the period until 2025» aroused not only interest in the scientific community, but also became the subject of discussions both by the scientific and expert community of the country and representatives of public authorities on issues not only of the uncertainty of priorities and goals of spatial strategy , but also specifying the economic and legal mechanisms for the practical implementation of this document. Purpose: the article is about determining the main directions for updating the Strategy for Spatial Development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025 from taking into account the legislative provisions on the sources of this Strategy. Research design: the authors focus on the insufficient elaboration in the Strategy of a number of issues of institutional and economic support for the implementation of the goals of this strategic document. A constructive criticism of the applied system of identification of the sectoral specialization of the subjects of the Russian Federation is given on the basis of the allocation of economic types of activity. Results: based on the results of the study, the main conclusions made by the authors relate to the degree of compliance of the Strategy with both traditional and new tasks of the state policy of regional development, and also justify the need for significant modernization in the field of strategic planning for the spatial development of the Russian Federation and the need to create a new document in structure and content with taking into account the trends in the technological development of the world and society.
