Concept of motivation in the context of promotingregional economic development

Abstract

The article represents a literature review of L.S. Shakhovskaya's works, where she reveals basic features of the practical application of the concept of motivation to provide a development of regional economy. Particularly such factors as an efficiency of business activity in a region, a performance of regional markets, as well as mechanisms of regional governance, based on the application of motivational instruments are described.
