Analysis of the social and economic condition of towns in Voronezh area: issues and trends

Abstract

Purpose: the Article is devoted to exploration of towns of the Voronezh region, based on the available data. Also there is an analysis of a quality of the data, identification of trends and problems in the development of towns. Results: the towns of the Voronezh region are classified based on available data. The analysis of the actual quality of information allows us to conclude that data on the urban areas of the Voronezh region is a diverse array of indicators for different period of time. If our goal is a development of towns, attracting investment, the establishment of effective development strategies with a qualitative analysis of the situation, it is necessary to make changes in the list of indicators, reflecting the particular socio-economic status of urban settlements at a particular time, as well as in the basis for the choice of development path set not a short-term economic benefits.
