Potential, deficits and ways of regional market services in the Stavropol region

Abstract

Purpose: the article is devoted to development of scientific principles and practical recommendations for the management of development of the regional services market and to creation of a mechanism to improve the efficiency and quality of services in the Stavropol region. Discussion: difficulties in ensuring of the quality and efficiency in the services sector are mainly caused by the lack of modern quality systems at enterprises operating in the service sector, the lack of modern infrastructure and the lack of a unified, systematic approach to managing the development of the regional services market. Solution to these issues may be possible only with the active participation and cooperation of the State, represented by authorities at all levels (primarily regional), and businesses. Results: the mechanism of improving the efficiency and quality of services has been developed. It is a set of interrelated objects and subjects of management principles, methods and management functions at different stages of the product life cycle and levels of quality control. Potentials and deficits of development of service sector in the Stavropol Territory indicate that efficient use of the potential of the region can give the possibility of increasing revenues at all levels and, therefore, increase the level of socio-economic development of the Stavropol Territory.
