The evolution of the institutional forms of social investments in contemporary russia

Abstract

Purpose: the article deals with the problem of evolutionary formation of institutions of social investments of Russian corporations as socially justified means of improving the competitiveness of modern business. Discussion: the complexities of the financial justification of social investments are explained by the fact that economic criteria preference socially responsible behavior of commercial firms are in the plane of the long-term sustainable development. Expansion of norms, standards and values of postindustrial society is contribute to perpetuate of social partnership practices, corporate citizenship and other social institutions investing in the corporate sector of the Russian economy. Increasing social responsiveness promote to social security and philanthropic traditions and customs of the Russian entrepreneurship. Results: we identified and characterized meaningful stages of formation of socially responsible business post-Soviet Russia. We also determined that the unstable dynamics of social investment given contradictory trends of globalization of trade and financial markets, unstable macroeconomic situation and changing the government’s economic policy. Advanced Russian corporations having passed a difficult way of restructuring and liquidation of social funds owned by the company, prior to the implementation of social innovation and implementation of major international social programs and projects. Prospects for the evolution of social investment Russia associated with the development of market infrastructure of social investment and strengthen the financial positions of institutional investors.
