Abstract

Purpose: the purpose of work is to study the instruments of macroeconomic regulation of the agricultural sector in Russia, the development directions of their improvement in the conditions of deepening liberalization and to ensure their effective application. Discussion: the article describes the tools of macroeconomic regulation of the agricultural sector in Russia at the present stage, reveals major contradictions in their application, the basic directions of perfection. The authors studied the macroeconomic management tools such as subsidies for the agricultural sector in Russia, agricultural insurance, customs and tariff regulation, innovation support programs in the agricultural sector. Results: we presented proposals for financing targeted programs in order to accelerate the process of modernization in the agricultural sector and the mechanism of the development of agrarian sector infrastructure. Because of the proposed measures, we expect the competitiveness improving of the agricultural sector in Russia as well as improving the efficiency expenditure of state funds allocated to agriculture, rising its export capacity by 2025.
