Abstract

Purpose: comparative analysis of multidisciplinary methods in social and economic processes description. We base on ethnic and cultural diversity measuring and use it for checking its influence on social and economic development, and then we characterize its joint possible influence on current or potential conflicts. Discussion: starting from contemporary classification of conflict we incorporate there the current economic methodology based on a quantitative assessment and an empirical testing of theoretical hypotheses. We pay special attention to the structure and the specificity of available statistical data, which helps us to describe a broad range of details for the issues under consideration. Result: we present the comparative analysis of the modern approaches to interdisciplinary researches in social dynamics, conflicts, and economic development. We formulate the main challenges, top-priority problems, as well as conclusions and recommendations for joint description and assessment of ethnic and cultural factors, social dynamics, conflicts, and economic development.
