The method of determining the economic profile of the territory and its approbation on the example of urban settlements of the Voronezh region

Abstract

Purpose : justification of the methodology for determining the economic profile of the territory. Discussion : in the context of decentralization of public administration, the role of municipal authorities in regulating social and economic development of the territories is increasing. Thus, there is a growing need for a qualitatively new information and methodical support for the management process. Management at the municipal level should rely on a wide array of data reflecting the current state and prospects for the development of municipalities, their place and role in the social and economic system of the region and the country. This is necessary for the development of measures that contribute to increasing the level of socio- economic development of municipalities. Authors believe that this kind of information can be obtained as a result of building economic profiles of municipalities. Results: within the framework of this study, a technique for constructing the economic profile of the territory was proposed and its approbation was carried out using the example of urban settlements in the Voronezh region.
