Absence of personnel as a form of destructive behavior in the organization
Abstract
Purpose: to identify approaches for the management of absenteeism as a form of de-structural behavior of personnel. Discussion: the actualization of the problem of increasing the productivity of labor determines the attention on the part of the manager, which is connected with the use of working time. Traditionally used tools for fixing labor costs, as well as innovative IT-technologies that spread with sufficient speed, nevertheless can not successfully combat the absenteeism of personnel. The analysis shows the significant economic losses from this phenomenon in developed countries. If we approach the solution of the problem of reducing absenteeism as a kind of destructive behavior of personnel in the continuum of behavioral models in the organizational environment, it is possible to determine and diversify the risks and the nature of manifestation of absenteeism, which will allow building effective methods of influence. Results: absenteeism of staff is a kind of destructive behavior that, in the absence of an effective management tool, can degenerate into types that are more difficult for the organization. One approach may be the proposed matrix of prototypes of destructive behavior of personnel, with the definition of risks and the nature of manifestation of absenteeism and the impact on it in each group.
