Integrated risk assessment indicator for determining geographic priorities of the international strategy for electric power company
Abstract
Purpose: the authors consider the issue of comprehensive indicator construction for risk assessment to determine geographic priorities of international performance strategy for electric power company. Discussion: the authors suppose that the main characteristics for determining geographic priorities are country risk assessment and industry indicators. The authors propose a modern approach to integrated risk assessment for getting a complete picture of the risk level in the electric power industry. In addiction the authors defined a list of indicators characterizing the political and economic condition of the country and the attractiveness of the country’s electric power industry for the investor, based on an analysis of the available risk assessment methods. Results: The authors proposed a model for the construction of a comprehensive risk assessment indicator using the methods of the fuzzy sets theory, which greatly simplifies the process of determining priority geographical directions and narrows the range of countries for further analysis. The article concludes with a partly results demonstration.
