Russia`s international investment position: trends and prospects for development
Abstract
Purpose: the article is devoted to the study of international capital movement as the most significant and integral part of interaction between countries, which has recently become increasingly identified with the key factor of prospective socio-economic development. Discussion: since the 1990s, the international movement of capital in the world economy has been liberal, acting as one of the leading ways to strengthen the position of the national economy of a particular country and serves as a stimulus for its economic growth. The article analyzes the current state, identifies trends in the development of international capital flows in the Russian Federation, as well as problems of attracting foreign investment. This study not only covers the assessment of Russia's current investment position, but also the main barriers to attracting and effectively using foreign investment. Results: the authors assess the position of Russia in the international movement of capital; study the dynamics of the main international flows of capital migration of the Russian Federation; identify the causes and barriers of capital migration in modern conditions.
