The bases of the distances method in the regional economic space researches

Abstract

Purpose: to give the developed characteristic of a method of distances as tool of the economic analysis of regional space and to estimate its prospects when carrying out regional economic researches. Discussion: in the course of the research official statistical data on a condition of indicators of social and economic subsystems of territories of the region and their differentiation in economic space of the region are used. For data processing methods of the comparative, structural and logical, component analysis are used. Results: On the basis of studying of a method of distances and its approbation for the regional economic analysis the developed justification of prospects of use of this method for a research of economic space of the region is given. Groups of the factors defining local conditions of development of economic space of the region are allocated. Influence of various groups of intraregional factors on processes of transformation of economic space is described. Conclusions: the method of distances as а method of the economic analysis can be applied at researches of economic space of the region. Feature of a method is the possibility of studying of affine groups of the indicators characterizing difficult processes of formation and development of economic space of the region, definition of the general and local conditions of economic development, diagnostics of the current state and a vector of development of economic space of the region.
