About complex dimension of the states of socio-economic objects
Abstract
Purpose: to development of a method for measuring the state of socio- economic objects by a set of indicators using geometric similarity measures and constructing scales that allow for pair wise comparison of objects with each other. Discussion: given that the problem of objective measurement of the states of objects by a set of indicators in econometrics is not fully solved, the authors suggest that in complex measurement, each observed state should be assigned a certain number as an empirical measure of the states determined on a measuring scale. The subsequent establishment of the relationship of the values of this value with the state variables allows us to obtain empirical equations of state, which will act as laws of the collective behavior of all objects as a whole. Results: the authors propose a scheme for constructing measurement scales for two reference states of a reference object. An algorithm for selecting the reference object that best meets the conditions of linearity of the process of its development in a multidimensional space is developed. In a specific example, on the basis of interval scales and scales with the use of the Statistica package, as well as connecting external macro that can automate the selection of the reference process, the numerical evaluation of states of all regions of Russia for the two indicators of foreign economic activity. The empirical equations of state describing the position and development of the regions of Russia in the fact of conducting foreign economic activity are obtained. The results of the conducted research confirmed the possibility of practical application of the proposed method for complex measurement of the state of socio-economic objects.
