Prospects for the development of the Russian medicine market

Abstract

Purpose: the article deals with the consideration of the general state of the Russian pharmaceutical market, trends in its development and ways to solve problems in the industry. It also analyzes the volume and structure of exports and imports, describes the barriers that hinder the development of the pharmaceutical market. Discussion: the article views the dynamics of the pharmaceutical market, including the export and import of medicines. It also identifies the analysis of the structure of exports and imports is carried out, the reasons that hinder import substitution and export development, describes the objectives of the «Pharma-2020» and «Pharma-2030» projects. Results: the authors carried out the analysis of the dynamics of the volume of the pharmaceutical market, as well as the distribution of pharmacy institutions in the federal districts, described the volumes and structures of export and import of medicines are considered, the prospects of the Russian pharmaceutical market and the barriers to its development.
