On integration of issues of sustainable development into the system of university graduate training (on the example of accounting and analytical specialty)
Abstract
Purpose: the purpose of the work is to study possible methods for integrating aspects of sustainable development into university education system using example of the accounting and analytical specialty. Discussion: the need to teach students understanding of the goals and requirements of sustainable development is becoming increasingly evident. However, inclusion of disciplines related to the study of the conceptual foundations and applied aspects of sustainable development strategy in the curriculum remains an unresolved issue for higher education. The article summarizes that the perception of accounting and analytical disciplines through the prism of sustainable development values requires new approaches to teaching these disciplines and gives a powerful impetus to their further development. Results: based on the analysis of existing practices and own experience, we identified methods for including sustainable development issues in the curriculum, assessed advantages and limitations of the methods, and proposed a sequence of stages and expected results of the integration.
