Abstract

Purpose: the article is devoted to the study of the current state of the functioning of the dairy industry and the identification of existing problems in the interaction of agricultural producers. Discussion: оne of the most important areas of economic activity of any country is to ensure its food security. In this regard, it is necessary to constantly study the current state and, if necessary, search for corrective measures to improve the efficiency of food production. At the present stage of development of the country's economy and, in particular, the dairy industry, there have been certain changes associated with a reduction in the number of dairy herds, the presence of some violations of the technology of raising animals, as well as unbalanced relationships between agricultural producers and processors. The measures taken in the form of state support are not always sufficient to ensure the efficient operation of enterprises in the agro-industrial complex. Results: the authors of the article studied the structure of milk processing in the Republic of Belarus, analyzed structural changes in the industry and identified the main problems of interaction between producers and processors at the present stage of economic development.
