Abstract

Purpose: the article is devoted to the issue of investigating the impact of the new coronavirus infection pandemic (COVID-19) on the Russian stock market and the consideration of companies most affected by the pandemic. Discussion: since it is obvious that the coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact on almost all spheres of society, it is necessary first of all to consider its impact on the economy of the country and the world as a whole. The stock market is an important and integral part of the modern economy. The Russian stock market has a relatively short history and is quite peculiar in its structure and formation. That is why it is interesting to consider, especially in the context of the spread of the pandemic. Results: a study was conducted on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Russian stock market, as well as large Russian companies whose share prices have fallen and increased to a greater extent.
