Economic aspects of criminal procedure

Abstract

Purpose: the article analyses the economic aspects of criminal procedure. Discussion: the author suggests the method of determining the cost for criminal proceedings in this article. This type of cost is diverse in nature today. Also the author explored the general problems of the criminal process cost The cost characteristics of criminal proceedings are directly related to cost optimization, therefore, at present, the topical issue is the use of mediation procedures in the Russian criminal process, including suggestions for the widespread introduction of video conferencing as a way to reduce procedural costs. Results: the author analyzed the correlation of qualitative and quantitative indicators of the criminal process effectiveness as a whole and gave a definite assessment of the financial injections into the criminal proceedings.
