Strategic approaches to the analysis of region investment attractiveness
Abstract
Purpose: the authors consider the strategic approaches to the analysis of investment attractiveness on the example of Germany which has the largest, most dynamic and competitive economy in Europe. Discussion: to understand the processes of investment, it is necessary first of all to assess the investment climate on the basis of attractiveness region criteria set for foreign direct investors, taking into account the state and trends of socio-economic development for the country. The dynamics and pace of economic development are the main reason for investors to choose this country when they intend to invest in the European Union. The authors note that post-war Germany, not having rich opportunities in the natural resource sphere, was able to achieve economic success through an effective combination of factors such as the active implementation of the scientific and technological progress results, a high level of «human capital», appropriate participation in world economic relations, competent domestic economic policy. Results: the authors marked that Germany has a favorable investment climate and is one of the leading countries in Europe according to the results of the SWOT analysis.
