STATISTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF DAMAGES IN RISK THEORY
Keywords:
earthquake, seismic stability, risk, damage
Abstract
Purpose: Statistical parameters of damages, including the average value (risk), the middle deviation and the density function are analyzed for earthquakes as an example. Discussion: Damages caused by more than one event were analyzed for statistically dependent and independent events. Results: The density functions and the damage evaluations during the structure life time were obtained. The obtained results are needed to enhance security and to provide preventive strengthening of structures prone to rare random impacts.Downloads
