Abstract

Purpose: the article is devoted to the definition and research of the labor market requirements for the human capital of youth. Discussion: the Russian youth labor market is characterized by a number of negative trends, among them: the reduction of work places due to the active informatization of business processes, the growth of unemployment rates, low interest of young people to work in the real sectors of the economy, the preference of young people for distance work, the growth of NEET rates, and many others. The most relevant issues both in theory and in practice, which are a task not only of national, but also of global scale, include the research of the problems of the modern youth labor market, youth employment, her effective and rapid employment. Results: in the article it is presented a method of step-by-step research of labor market requirements. At the first stage, the motives for hiring young specialists, the main advantages and disadvantages of the youth labor force were identified. At the second stage, the reasons for the refusal to employ young specialist were analyzed. The third stage involved the determination of groups of characteristics of the human capital of young people, correlating with effective employment. The results of the research can be used in the development of state programs for youth policy and university employment programs for graduates.
