Problem analysis of the north zone development in the context regions typology

Abstract

Article considers questions of typology the North regions. The most successful from a position of social and economic development industrially focused regions are referred to category «regions -engines of growth». The typological characteristic of a zone the North regions, given by the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation, needs revision. For last years regions qualitatively were modified and were beyond taken away to them in typology.
