Prospects of realization of target programs of development of the region

Abstract

Purpose: the Article is devoted to the development and implementation of targeted programs as an effective tool for the development of the regional economy. Discussion: Analyzing statistical data on the development of the economy of the southern Federal district in General and the Rostov region in particular, it is obvious that the Federal and regional target programs implemented in the region are quite effective. In practice, however, the targets of these programmes are not always achievable. It is assumed that the key indicators of economic and social development, laid down in the developed in the Rostov region target program «strategy 2030» can not be achieved without a major transformation of the region's economy. Results: the calculations confirmed the hypothesis that in order to achieve the goals set in The «strategy 2030», it is necessary to take a set of measures to increase its investment attractiveness as soon as possible. The authors make a number of proposals contributing to the successful achievement of the target indicators of the developed strategy.
