Local food market of the region: concept and informative characteristics
Abstract
Purpose: The article is devoted to the issues of determining the essence of the local food market as part of the region's economic space and its informative char-acteristics. Discussion: Based on the concepts and theories of regional markets, the authors suggest to outline the main characteristics of the local food market and to give its comprehensive definition. Results: The authors systematized the concepts of functioning and development of regional markets. The main ap-proaches to determining the concept of "local market" are defined and their features are explained. The informative characteristics of local food markets in various aspects (territorial, commodity, economic, spatial, reproductive) are specified. The complex interpretation of the concept of "local food market in the region" is given.
