Abstract
Purpose: the article is dedicated to the study of the situation on the foodstuffs market, opportunities and the ways for insuring products security through the implementation of imports substitution policy in Russia. Discussion: development of production and agricultural sector of Russian economy leads to the growth of foodstuffs resources and consequently, alongside with the sectorial economic sanctions, imposed by the USA, EU and seрarate Scandinavian countries in respect of Russia, is the reduction of exports and imports and as a result of foreign trade turnover. Besides the above mentioned sectors of the economy the policy of imports substitution implementation and foodstuffs resources growth private sector also makes its considerable contribution. Its volume of production makes it possible to insure the demand in vegetables and fruits of the considerable part of the Russian population. The implementation of the imports substitution policy is accompanied by the emergence of risks and threats, which hamper the achievement of the envisaged indicators, the ways for the solution of which are presented in the given article. Results: the authors of the article have defined the opportunities for increasing the foodstuffs resources in Russia, synthesized the measures undertaken by the Government of the Russian Federation proceeding from the present external political and economic situation, revealed the risks, which accompany the imports substitution policy implementation and suggested the ways of their overcoming.Downloads
