Reduction in the level of production and consumption of plastic products as one of the factors of ensuring the economic security of the national ecology project

Abstract

Purpose: the article considered the problem of the implementation of the federal project «Preservation of Lake Baikal», and the assessment of municipal solid waste in coastal areas. Discussion: in the process of analysis, the regulatory and legal frameworks, independent reports and information bases were studied. In the course of the study, it was revealed that 80% of MSW in coastal areas are plastic products, and the rate of plastic production and the level of its consumption among the population increase annually in Russia. Results: the generated results allow usc to onclude that the measures taken will not allow achieving environmental safety in Russia by 2024. In order to effectively manage waste disposal, it is necessary to form measures aimed at reducing the level of production, introducing additional restrictive measures in coastal areas and introducing a culture of using plastic products.
