Abstract

Multi-agent systems are related to artificial intelligence technologies, and the agent-oriented approach is positioned as a universal solution that can compete with other technologies in a wide class of applications. This article examines traditional and modern options for formalizing and interpreting the concept of an agent in multi-agent systems, and presents an overview of the problem statements that are solved when developing such systems to form the features and properties of various types of agents.
