Estimation of poverty rate in the Vologda region

Abstract

The article provides the results of estimating population poverty rate in the Vologda Oblast obtained using alternative approaches. It also analyses the factors and specific features of Russian poverty. The author defines consumption, prosperity and savings of the poor in the region.
