The use of audio and video recordings in the proceedings on criminal cases: problems of implementation and economic costs
Abstract
Purpose : this article analyzes problems of the current legislation governing the use of audio and video recordings in court proceedings in criminal cases. Discussion : the article is devoted to analysis of the problems of the current legislation governing the use of audio and video recordings in criminal proceedings, introduction of innovative technologies in the field of criminal justice, in particular, the use of audio and video recordings aims to improve the efficiency and quality of proceedings in criminal matters, observance of procedural terms, the application of new methods of collecting and recording evidence in the case, the safety of participants of process, the constitutional rights and freedoms of man and citizen. However, today when using audio and video recordings there are organizational and financial problems to be addressed in the current legislation. These circumstances caused the need for theoretical research on the use of technical facilities of fixation of information in criminal proceedings. Results : in article attempt of the analysis of efficiency of use of audio and video recordings in criminal proceedings and its economic costs.
