Substantiation of the need of agriculture in the region for state support

Abstract

Purpose: the article aims to clarify the importance of the rural economy for the development of this region, as well as to proof the fact that for a general study of the place of agriculture in the territorial economic complex, it is necessary, in addition to the role of the industry in creating GRP, to pay attention to its share in the aggregate of fixed assets, in the number of employees and in the structure of business units by industry affiliation. Discussion: the agro-industrial complex for the Voronezh Region acts as a large socio-economic subsystem, including several large-scale industries and the distribution of their enterprises almost throughout the country, characterized by a significant share in GRP, providing thousands of jobs, providing a number of other social issues. The authors of the article clarifies the importance of the rural economy for the development of this region. Results: the assessment of the role and importance of agriculture for the economy and social life of the Voronezh region proves once again the need for the formation and steady implementation of a well-thought-out and well-coordinated regional agrarian policy, including in the form of financial assistance to rural producers.
