Equilibrium and kinetic parameters of 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde sorption by polyfunctional weak-basic anion-exchanger
Abstract
The features of 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde sorption by weak-basic anion exchanger Purolite A 830 in
the static conditions have been studied. The estimation of the kinetic curve for aldehyde sorption using a
formal approach has been made, which shows a significant influence of internal diffusion stage on the rate of
sorption. The diffusion coefficients have been calculated. The study of 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde sorption
under equilibrium conditions at temperatures of 298 and 328 K has been carried out. The energy of aldehyde
sorption from aqueous solutions, as well as the enthalpy and entropy of the process have been calculated.
