Abstract

The development of the labour market of the urban district mainly in accordance with the General Russian trends. However, there are also certain characteristics that can identify the prospects and problems of development of the labor market of Voronezh. Among the problems the most significant are lack of qualified personnel; a significant proportion of the informal, «shadow» employment, the tightening of requirements of employers to the quality of the labor force with the decline of the quality of education and not always satisfactory training, significant sectoral variations in pay, reducing the attractiveness of jobs, poor quality of forecasts staffing requirements across industries. In the composition of the prospects of primary importance use of investment potential of the city to create new jobs; preserved intellectual potential, creation of new jobs requiring a modern key competencies and related training, growth potential labour resources due to the relatively favourable demographic situation, the use of migration attractiveness of the city.
