Problems of increase of labour productivity

Abstract

The article emphasizes the role of measurement of level and dynamics of productivity in the system of management; there is a lack in current methods of measurement and statistical information about the level of labor productivity in individual regions and types of economic activity, industries and production; examines the level and dynamics of labour productivity in economy of Russia and Samara region, the ratio of the growth rates of labor productivity and wages, examines the causes of backwardness of the country in terms of productivity of labour of developed countries, the necessity of developing a mechanism of performance management and the adoption of relevant laws.
