Abstract

This paper systematizes theoretical approaches to foresight in the fuel and energy sector. Based on the analysis of primary sources, a list of 28 main trends determining the development of the fuel and energy complex of Russia was formed. The results of foresight became part of the winning project in the interactive section «Oil and Gas sector» of the IV International forum «Energy efficiency and saving. Energy development» (ENES-2016), organized by the Ministry of energy of the Russian Federation.
