Abstract

In the article, investigating the change in the motivation of economic activity in various socio-historical conditions, is substantiated the general regularity of its evolution in the process of transformation of economic systems. The evolution of motivation is associated with a change in the structure of the main economic incentives, which occurs in one scenario. This evolution consists in the transformation of external motivation into the internal motivation of the individual’s economic activity. The main directions of this transformation are considered in the article, and it is substantiated that the key one is accompanied by savings in costs of agency relations and changes in the specification of property rights.
