Abstract

The article includes an overview of the topics and results of dissertation research defended in the dissertation Council of Voronezh State University over the past 5 years (2017–2022). During this period, the dissertation Council held 26 meetings dedicated to the defense of dissertations (one doctoral and 25 candidate dissertations). The distribution of dissertations by scientific specialties turned out to be uneven: 7 dissertations in the linguistics theory and 19 in the Russian language. Applicants for academic degrees were staff members of the Voronezh State University, employees of other universities in Voronezh, as well as representatives of other citiesand countries (China, Vietnam, Iraq, Jordan). The most demanded scientific topics: the study of Russian vocabulary and terminology, dynamic of lexis, language features of literary discourse, problems of Russian dialectology, categories of explicit and hidden grammar.
