Analysis of distributive-and-syntagmatic links of frame «Music» in the literary text of V. V. Orlov

The article considers the lexemes-explicators of the frame «Music» in Vladimir Orlov’s novel «Violist Danilov», and also studies the totality of all environments in which the identified elements are used. The sum of all items in which the studied element can be located relative to other elements is defined as distribution. The purpose of the work is to analyze lexical units representing the frame «Music» in the literary text of V. V. Orlov from the standpoint of their syntagmatic correlations, as well as to establish the types of dominant combinations. The material was studied using the distribution analysis method, contextual analysis method, quantitative analysis method. The subject of the study is the literary text of V. V. Orlov, representing the frame «Music». In the literary text of V. V. Orlov, the following four types of phrases including the lexeme «music» were identified: 1) verb; 2) adjective; 3) substantive; 4) prepositional-and-substantive. The study made it possible to establish that the verb type dominates among these types of lexical combinations. It is represented by combinations of the lexeme «music» with verbs of action, verbs of activity or occupation, verbs of emotional action, verbs of mental action, verbs of state change, partial verbs, donative verbs, verbs of state, verbs of perception, verbs of feeling, verbs of event, verbs of presence and verbs of speech action. A promising direction of this study is the study of the metaphorical representation of the frame «Music» in the novel by V. V. Orlov, as well as the establishment of subject-and-object relations of the frame under consideration.
