Professional standards: problems of application and prospects of development

Abstract

The discrepancy between the competencies of university graduates to the requirements of employers can be overcome by integrating the requirements of professional standards in educational standards. But this process requires the presence in the country of quality professional standards, which will be formed taking into account the requirements of the national framework of competencies. The article considers the process of developing professional standards and their impact on the education system in Russia. The structure and content of professional standards have been studied. On the example of the professional standard «Accountant», common problems and contradictions are identified that are characteristic of approved professional standards, which must be taken into account when developing national and sectoral frameworks for qualification and processing of professional standards.
