The peculiarities of the process of forming and assessment of the main indicators of a modernized product are considered. The group of indicators and parameters on priority for the consumer is offered. Approaches to the solution of tasks on identification of new target reference points, and also forecasting of dynamics and tendencies of indicators and parameters in product competitiveness increase are designated.
