Abstract

The article considers the method of parametric vocabulary analysis (PVA), developed and implemented by Vladimir Tikhonovich Titov, applied to one of the representatives of the North Caucasian languages – Abazin. The Abazin language is a representative of the Abkhaz-Adyghe group of languages. The main task of parametric analysis is to identify 4 cores of the language vocabulary: functional (word length), syntagmatic (the number of phraseological units), paradigmatic (the length of a synonymous row) and epidigmatic (the number of definitions for a word).
