Credit behaviour of households with different social and demographic characteristics
Abstract
Credit behavior of the population lately becomes more and more prevalent form of financial practice of Russian people. It stresses the importance of assessment of the current situation on the credit market as well as research of credit behavior peculiarities at a household level. One of the factors influencing the credit usage decision-making is presence of children in the household. That's why the paper is devoted to the key characteristics of credit behavior with the reference to parenthood status. It also proposes the socio-demographic typology of households with different characteristics of credit behavior. The major conclusion is based on the results of specific social research held on the territory of the Vologda Region.
