Consumer value and socio-economic significance of drinking tap water

Abstract

In modern conditions, economics and enterprise management, including the such livelihood enterprise like water supply and sewerage, based on the twin paradigm of manufacturing and consumption, which are interconnected by the consumer value of drinking tap water that is fundamentally different from all other types of livelihood product. The concept of consumer value of drinking tap water is an imperative in the functioning of water supply as an infrastructural system of livelihood. In the article it considers the consumer value of drinking tap water as a central moment of functioning of the water supply and sewerage enterprises, not only to solve the tasks of providing it to the population but also operating in market conditions.
