Comparison of three type sorbents effectivity towards anthocyanins sorption

Sorption of anthocyanins upon hydrophobic С18 and С8 chemically modified silicas, two ionexchange
materials (SO3
- - cationites on the basis of chemically modified silica and on polymeric matrix)
as well as upon composite sorbent on with clay minerals were compared. High effectivity of reversedphase
sorbents for solvophobic anthocyanins clean-up and ion-exchange anthocyanins sorption upon
composite clay sorbents with charged layers as a consequence of isomorph substitution in octahedral and
tetrahedral layers has been proved. The absence of correlation between cation-exchange capacity and
anthocyanin sorption capacity is proposed to be due to steric factors
