The author substantiates the need to develop a method of assessing the effectiveness of the incentive system of workers in the health care sector. A retrospective analysis of the experience of creating such techniques, including in some industries. The concept of efficiency of incentive system from the position that it should reflect both «economic» and «social» efficiency, and also efficiency for workers and for the employer is revealed. Taking into account this interpretation, the author describes the developed method of assessing the effectiveness of the incentive system for health workers, which includes fourteen indicators and involves three stages of calculation.
