The journal was established in 2003.

Peer-reviewed quarterly academic journal that specializes in publishing the results of fundamental and applied research on topical issues of global economic and management science in the context of global trends. Materials submitted to the editorial office must comply with international standards for publications in this field of knowledge, and must be distinguished by scientific novelty and originality.

The Journal is included in the list of the leading refereed academic journals and periodicals recommended by the Higher Attestation Committee at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, assigned for publication of the key results of doctoral dissertations (including the both Russian doctoral degrees: the PhD and the Doctor of Economics).
